Introducing the Dashlets

Keyword List

Displays status information in list format based on Opsview keywords.

The default behaviour is to display all keywords.

Configuration options:

  • Filter by keyword
  • Refresh interval

Keyword Cells

Displays status information in cell format based on Opsview keywords.

The default behaviour is to display all keywords.

Configuration options:

  • Filter by keyword
  • Refresh interval

Performance Gauge

Displays a single performance metric in gauge format.

This dashlet must be configured before it will display any results.

Configuration options:

  • Host, Service and Metric: Values used to plot the gauge value
  • Metric label
  • Maximum value
  • Warning threshold
  • Critical threshold
  • Refresh interval

Performance Graph

Displays one or more performance metrics in graph format.

This dashlet must be configured before it will display any results.

Configuration options:

  • Host, Service and Metric: Values used to plot the data series. Multiple series are permitted
  • Duration of graph
  • Chart type
  • Line thickness
  • Refresh interval

Event Table

Displays monitoring events in table format.

Initially this dashlet will display the most recent 25 events across all monitored systems. You can apply filters to restrict which events will be displayed.

Configuration options:

  • Filter by Host Group
  • Filter by Keyword
  • Filter by individual Host or Service
  • Filter by State
  • Select how many events to display
  • Refresh interval

Filters are additive (and)

Event Timeline

Displays monitoring events in timeline format.

Initially this dashlet will display the all events occurring in the last 6 hours. You can apply filters to restrict which events will be displayed.

Configuration options:

  • Filter by Host Group
  • Filter by Keyword
  • Filter by State
  • Timeframe covered by timeline window
  • Refresh interval

Filters are additive (AND)

Host Group Hierarchy

Displays summary of host and service status based on Host Group Hierarchy.

The default behaviour is to display downtime, unhandled host events and unhandled service events for all Host Groups. You can add additional columns to this view. You can also filter by Host Group.

Configuration options:

  • Filter by Host Group
  • Filter by State
  • Refresh interval

Filters are additive (AND)

System Status

Displays Opsview system status information.

Configuration options:

  • Enable/disable configuration status indicator
  • Enable/disable passive service check metric

Note Pad

Displays text information with basic formatting. You can use this dashlet as an action list or to save a reminder.

This dashlet has a basic WYSIWIG text editor interface.
